CSUSB’s student teams excel at CSU Sunstone Startup Competition, held May 3 at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Two student teams from CSUSB’s School of Entrepreneurship competed and placed at the CSU Sunstone Startup Competition, an event that featured student participants from 23 CSU campuses.
The competition, which took place on May 3, aims to foster and recognize the entrepreneurial spirit within the California State University system, and featured participants from 23 campuses vying for $200,000 in funds provided by sponsor Sunstone Management.
CSUSB’s two teams – Future Wealthy Minorities and Modular Market - competed and took home a 1st and 3rd place, respectively. Future Wealthy Minorities secured first place in the Startup Showcase for Social Entrepreneurship, winning $6,000, while the second team, Modular Market, earned third place in the Startup Showcase for Business Model, taking home $1,000.
